However when I alt-tab multiple times (or fast enough, I still havent figured it out), the game will see a significant improvement in fps. If you want, before you run a defrag, maybe check the disk for errors, it could be having issues that only recently arose. As seen on the pictures that I took (I couldnt record them), my games are usually low on fps most of the time. If you rule out the driver and the windows update mentioned by others, try defragmenting, maybe something occured that caused it. ![]() When you reinstalled your drivers, did you use DDU utility to uninstall them and do a clean install? Really, I think the "perform clean" option will work just as good, but maybe to be sure? This is strange because whenever I alt+tab out of the game and back in, my fps returns to 60fps. However, after about 20 minutes, my fps drops to about 20fps. Usually, when I start playing games, I get a solid fps around 60fps. Can you try to defray with something like Auslogics Disk Defrag or Defraggler or so, to see if it improves? It may be a long shot since it happened (seemingly at least) with nvidia drivers changes. I have been encountering an unusual issue on my computer lately. ![]() Provided you don't have an SSD (never do this to SSD), can you try to defragment your hard drive? If your drive was already in good shape, Is your hard drive very full, and of a large capacity? The bigger the capacity, and deeper out into the end of the drive it is, the slower that access time is going to be, especially for massive files like the archives V uses.
